At Fruit Solute, mostly mangos and avocados for supermarket chains are being ripened. All 29 ripeningg cells have been built by De Laat, of which 19 have been renewed in 2019.
These new ripening rooms use propane, a natural and effective refrigerant. As avocados need a lower temperature for ripening than mangos, all ripening rooms can be adjusted from a distance, based on their individual need of refrigerant.
For most ripening rooms we have realised the Ecotop turning system: in this way the air flows evenly through every piece of fruit, making the ripening process a homogeneously as possible. The air flow is being blown through all pallets very precisely, instead of being blown throughout the entire ripening room.

In the cooling circuit above the ripening cells, one can see the valve set which determines the amount of heat or cold supply. Fruit Solute is extremely pleased with our ripening rooms, because of the low operational costs and extremely high quality of every end product.
